Suhas Panthari and Trinity Center Executive Director John Alonso

Suhas Panthari, an Eagle Scout candidate from Troop84 in San Ramon (www.troop84bsa.org), organized 46 volunteers (logging 180+ hours) and reached out to 600+ residents and local businesses in San Ramon to collect food pantry and personal hygiene items for Trinity Center. The response was overwhelming, and 1250+ items collected (more than Suhas’ goal of 500). According to John Alonso, Trinity Center Executive Director and Program Manager, “Suhas exceeded our expectations. These items will help us immensely and support several activities at Trinity Center.”
Sorting and InventoryThe project was executed in multiple phases between July 29th and Aug 29th 2014, including stapling (team of volunteers stapled the flyers to the paper bags donated by Traders Joes), distribution (volunteers distributed bags to more than 600 homes and some local businesses), collection (volunteers collected donated items), sorting/inventory (items were organized and sorted out as per sorting specifics) and delivery (items were loaded and delivered to Trinity Center in multiple trips).

Delivering Collected GoodsThanks to Troop84 and volunteers who helped Suhas to complete his project. Special thanks to John Alonso (Trinity Center), Scott Perkins (T84 Eagle Advisor), Thomas Azzopardi (T84 Scout Master) and Nancy Ozawa (T84 Chair) for their guidance and support.

Congratulations Suhas!
