Iman Novin, President and CEO of Novin Development, has over 14 years of experience in the real estate development sector with a focus in both market-rate and affordable transit-oriented development. Iman founded NDC’s consulting practice in 2013 and provides development advisory services ranging from acquisition, feasibility, project management and policy to a variety of for- profit, non-profit, public and private clients across California including the City of Sunnyvale, City of Richmond, Town of Mammoth Lakes, Enterprise Community Partners, The Great Communities Collaborative (GCC), BART, VTA , Related CA, Jay Paul, The CORE Companies, BRIDGE Housing, MidPen Housing, EAH and Eden Housing (Partial List). Prior to starting NDC, a private consulting, brokerage and development practice, Iman worked at MidPen Housing as Director of Acquisitions and at BRIDGE Housing as a Project Manager in both northern and southern California. While at MidPen, Iman lead acquisition efforts across the Bay Area closing dozens of deals and managing broker and investor relationships. While at BRIDGE Iman managed multiple large development and entitlement projects, including an 880 unit mixed-income BART Transit Village project in Oakland. Prior to BRIDGE, Iman worked in the Real Estate and Planning Divisions of the Centre City Development Corporation (CCDC) on redevelopment and housing policy initiatives within the Downtown San Diego Redevelopment Project Area, as well as with Keyser Marston Associates (KMA) in their San Diego office. Iman is actively involved with the Urban Land Institute and has published three ULI transit-oriented development technical assistance panel reports. Iman has served as Vice Chair of the Walnut Creek Planning Commission and locally serves on the Board of Trinity Center, a Homeless Service Agency, and the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Iman is active in shaping new housing policy as an elected delegate in CA Assembly District 16 and as a member of the East Bay Leadership Council Housing Taskforce, East Bay Housing Organization and NPH Legislative Committee. Iman holds joint degrees in Urban Studies and Planning and Structural Engineering from the University of California, San Diego with honors. Mr. Novin takes an active role in all phases of a project, from site acquisition, funding strategies, design, construction, community engagement, lease-up and beyond. Mr. Novin is also President of Novin Construction and the developer and CEO of ProforMap.
