Founded in collaboration with The Walnut Creek Police Department and Trinity Center, the Walnut Creek Homeless Community Task Force is comprised of dedicated individuals and organizations that are committed to making a positive impact in the Homeless Community.
Mission: To research and identify best, promising and emerging practices for short term and long term solutions to the causes of homelessness; to present information and recommendations for program implementation to Walnut Creek City Staff and City Council; and to work collaboratively with Walnut Creek City Staff and City Council, as well as community organizations and businesses, to break down obstacles of implementation and be involved in putting into place respectful and compassionate solutions.
Vision: A time when all members of our community have safe, suitable housing through projects and programs that stand as models of innovation and collaboration that other organizations and municipalities can emulate.
The task force is focused on identifying potential solutions, actions and resources needed to take action.
