Aida was born and raised in San Francisco, California. She was a young teen mother who was also in the foster system. As she struggled to find help with services and tried to connect with a social worker who could help her become self-sufficient, Aida’s experience was that there weren’t very many of them who were willing to meet her needs. While feeling fearful of what could happen to her, a passion for helping others in similar situations grew inside her. It is important to her to help those looking for services and to be present as someone who understands the experiences of needing help.
Aida has 10+ years experience as a case manager, working with youth and adults. She is very passionate and determined to help those who need support. She wants them to believe that they can and will overcome their current situations and find success.
